   Slide-out cart drawer focus handling

   Plaintiff, using a screen reader and keyboard only, could not close the slide-out cart or reach the checkout button.

   How a plaintiff tests it

   Open the cart with Enter, press Tab repeatedly, and check whether focus stays inside the drawer, whether Escape closes it, and whether focus returns to the cart button.

   How we fix it

   Give the drawer dialog semantics with an accessible name, move focus in on open, contain Tab inside it, close on Escape, and return focus to the trigger on close.

   Variant options without clear labels or state

   Representative allegation

   Size and color options lacked programmatic labels, so the plaintiff could not tell which option was selected or available.

   How a plaintiff tests it

   Move through the options with NVDA or VoiceOver and listen for a group name, an option name, and a selected or unavailable state.

   How we fix it

   Wrap options in a fieldset with a legend, tie every input to a label, and expose selected and sold-out states in text a screen reader announces.

   Sale price announced as one confusing number

   The screen reader read the crossed-out price and the sale price together as one unlabeled number.

   How a plaintiff tests it

   Browse to a discounted product with a screen reader and listen to how the regular and sale prices are announced.

   How we fix it

   Add visually hidden text that labels the regular price and the sale price, so the sequence reads clearly without changing the visual design.
